8 Months!

And here we are at 8 months. What a ride!

Helen had a big month. Two bottom teeth popped in and boy were they painful! She was a mess for a few weeks and then so happy once they broke through. She's already working not he next pair though so she is back to drooling and not sleeping ... 

She also learned to sit up on her own ... she really started this at about 7 months and 2 days but now she's a pro. She loves to sit and play with her toys. It's fun to go through my old boxes of toys and find new treasures - all of which bring back such fun memories of the boys. Sitting opens a bunch of new doors for her too - like highchairs at restaurants and grocery store shopping carts. She loves to be a part of all the action. 

Unfortunately, she had 2 ear infections and spiked a fever for 5-ish days this month, and she was on antibiotics for about three weeks. She pulled through though and is back to her happy self. 

I have never seen a happier baby - and so go with the flow (she didn't get that from me!). She loves to watch everyone around her and will go days with out crying sometimes - hope she keeps that up! 

She has started finger foods and shoves them in her mouth faster than i can put them on the tray. She still loves her purees too ... no wonder she is a whopping 21 lbs!
