The boys turned 16 months yesterday - it's time to document what they are up to!
As previously mentioned, they both started walking at 15.5 months (just like their mommy). It started as a few steps and quickly escalated to racing around the house, backyard and down the street - just two short weeks later. The scream to be put on the ground to walk when you carry them and have strong opinions about whether or not they want to hold your hand while walking. Lately, Andrew only wants to hold my hand and yells "Momma, Momma" ... I love it! haha
They have so many words now and today they were able to string two words together for the first time "Bye Bye, Ellie" and "Bye Bye, Daddy" as we walked out the door. Other words include: Momma, Dadda, Ellie ("Alla"), Bye Bye, Keys, Cheese, lights, dee dee (Paci), Bath (usually followed by a pouty lip), Papa, KK, cookie, Nana (Banana) ... and I'm sure I'll think of more.
Now that the illness has passed, they sleep 12 hours and night and are down to one afternoon nap which can be 2-3 hours.
They both hate bath time. They go through phases on baths - currently, they are not popular. Makes me pretty excited for the swimming pool this summer though ... argh!
They will eat almost everything but their favorites are Cheese and fruit (kinda like me).
Both are super shy when they first meet someone, the bow their head and give a coy smile, but they warm up really quickly and will be happy to go to anyone. They definitely have their own language and carry on conversations with each other, which usually results in who can scream loudest. Awesome at restaurants.
All in all, this walking thing has really changed up life around here. They are much more interested in walking then playing with toys and I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot of time outdoors as my house can hardly take the abuse!
We love them more and more everyday and can't believe how much their individual personalities are finally coming out!
