After two or three times of walking into the boys' room and seeing this damage to the changing table:
We decided it was time to rearrange! They managed to flip the changing table off the table and move the table back and forth between their beds. So we L-shaped the beds and moved the changing table far, far away. Sad the boys can't really see each other when they are sleeping but at least it's safer!
On the plus side, the room seems so much bigger.
