Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo!

We took a pass on the Rodeo last year but it was a must-do event for us this year. We went on a random Tuesday to avoid crowds (sort of worked) but most importantly the weather was gorgeous!

For some reason I decided it would be a good idea to walk from the yellow lot to the Rodeo, rather than taking the free tram that runs literally every three minutes. We had to scale some rough terrain. Robert wasn't mad at me at all. :)

Daniel in from of the cattle auction. We have never seen such clean cows. It looks like they even had a blow-out hair dry!

Our favorite part was watching the chicks hatch out of their eggs. So precious. Daniel peering through the window:

Both boys were mesmerized:

Outside, they had this adorable farm to market area for kids. Each kid is given a basket:

Then we go through the little farm maze and feed the chickens:

... and plant and water the onions:

Andrew was obsessed with the hand sanitizers which were at EVERY station. I'm all about cleanliness but I'm a little worried about my little OCD baby. He can't stand to be dirty. It was pretty cute though!

We took a little milk break halfway through. Andrew and Daddy:

The only picture of mommy (with Daniel) from the day ... typical:

One of the boys "picking" peaches from the tree.

And finally, harvesting some corn.

At the end, you sort all of your goods and get a dollar to spend in the market. Such a cute idea and we all loved it! It was a great day and it will be fun annual event!
