Upon arrival, the boys loved the rocking chairs in the lobby:
We brought a few "surprises" for the trip, including these bubble guns which were AMAZING! Best $9 ever spent and hours of fun.
Daniel really enjoyed making giant bubbles in the grass -- here is Andrew trying to add onto it. Sad that I have to identify them by their shoes!! Daniel has bright blue and Andrew grey/white/blue :)
Daniel, left and Andrew, right - loving our bubble gun hike ... touring the butterfly and hummingbird gardens with all of the "hiding places:"
Andrew got to hold a rat snake - he was very proud (Daniel got to go to bed early that night after being carried kicking and screaming from the restaurant). Overtired was the name of the game ... but it's so hard to go to bed before 9:30 pm at this place!
KK and Popsie came to visit for the night. The men played a little golf and sent some pictures of deer. We took the boys on "sunset golfcart rides" around the golf course where we saw tons of deer, owls, and lightning bugs. Definitely a highlight of the trip ... sadly, I took no pictures.
We took the kiddos into Austin for a "Duck Tour" ... it was less than to be desired and incredibly hot. But the boys look very happy in these pictures so we'll just remember it that way. Andrew (top) and Daniel (bottom) driving the duck through Lake Austin:
Ok, the quacking was really fun. Lucky us, we got to bring 6 quackers home to enjoy forever!

Andrew riding Bevo ...so proud:
So glad that Daniel was willing to give it a try this time as well:
We did a little arts and crafts, decorating dinosaur wind chimes with Daniel and KK:
Andrew and I working on Steggy:
Oh hello! Look what we have - the boys enjoyed 2 Ipads on our vacation (Daddy donated his work Ipad to the cause). They were pretty happy campers:
A couple of sweet family pictures. No idea why Andrew looks three inches taller ... that is not actually the case:
25 weeks pregnant!
At least someone was enjoying the food (Andrew):
Oops, I managed to lock us out of the room TWICE! The upside of a patio room was that we could walk out our backdoor directly outside to play/swim/etc. The downside is, if you leave the latch on the door, you can't get back in. Lesson learned ... well, the second time. HEre is security helping us out at 10 pm!
Such snuggle bugs in the bed together. So cute:
Like father, like son:
Great, great trip. Loved every minute of the family time and sad that the vacation is over.
