4th of July Celebrations!

Fourth of July Celebrations lasted about a week ... it started with TWO school parades. Our class was a "fourth of July picnic" for the Parade so the boys were hot dogs and the girls were apple pie. So unbelievably cute!

Andrew first and Daniel second as a hot dog. Kosher, we can only assume:

Hot dogs and apple pies:

Andrew is very Patriotic:

Unfortunately, the hot dog costumes didn't make it for Day 2 parade so the teachers whipped up these costumes for the boys - Kiss the Cook!

We made a delicious cake to celebrate on the actual 4th:

We hit the Villages Annual Parade for the 4th year in a row. One of my favorite things about living in this area! The parade was wonderful as usual and we were continuously pelted with candy and beads, which the boys loved.  Daniel in blue and Andrew in red:

Stocking up on goodies from the parade ...

Then we went to the festival where the boys had so much fun with the spin art (final product and process below):

We all ate pizza and sweltered in the heat. Daniel thinks that Cissie is a head rest:

We enjoyed dinner at my parents house with the Millers and Leibmans ... apparently I forgot my camera. And then we had our very first overnight guest! Kate spent the night and the boys were soooo in love (too bad she's our cousin - haha!)

Snuggles before we split into their own rooms:

Pretending to all sleep together:

The next morning, the kids loved "writing and illustrating" books together. Loved watching them play together!
