This cute girl is getting awfully close to 2 years old!
She is finally starting to talk more and more. You have to really know her to understand her language though. Everything is guttural sounding and slurred together but she's so proud of herself. Just today, she narrated her way through the grocery store.
Some of Helen's secret language include:
Bobo = Elmo
Popo = Poo Poo (which she has now gone in the potty twice!)
Nax = Max (Also known as "Bubba's Nax Shhhhh")
Yight = light - same as boys
Bebe = baby
doggie = Ellie (she refuses to say ellie)
Popyeeeeeee = Popsie (with a long pause between the Pop and the Yeeeee
Nak = snack
doh doh = playdoh
it goes on and on ...
She loves to play with all of her brothers' toys. Matchbox cars, small legos, dinosaurs. But she still loves all things girly - picking out the twirly dresses and getting dressed up. She loves my makeup, carrying a purse and her Bebes (Babies).
She is still a great sleeper (about 7:30pm-7am) with around a two hour nap at whatever time fits into the boys schedule. Luckily, she is very flexible on her times. Stays up till 9 pm with no problem if we need her to. (Just don't plan to be anywhere near her the next day b/c she will be a terror!)
Helen is wild. You can often find her on the kitchen counter, jumping on the sofa, running around the house or standing on a chair. She is fearless. She is very social. I think she really just wants to be 6.5 years old. I know she will love school this fall.
The boys play with her when I make them and they end up having a good time. The other day they were avoiding her and I threatened having another baby if they didn't play with her ... so she would have a friend. They quickly let her in their room.
Hard to believe we are already planning her second bday!
