Helen celebrated her 2nd birthday last week and we all had so much fun watching her realize that this day was "all about her!" Although, she kinda thinks everyday is all about her anyway.... But she definitely caught on that something special was happening!
We celebrated her actual day with an afternoon cake snack, some decorations and pretty awesome gifts from the grandparents. KK and Popsie gave her an amazing kitchen and all kinds of supplies to fill it up, and Grandmama and Papa gave her the sweetest dollhouse. She is obsessed with both and has no shortage of toys to keep her busy.
Helen's 2 yr stats are as follows:
Height: 36'' (97%) (wow!!)
Weight: 29lbs 15oz (85%)
She is so tall that people can't believe she just turned 2 ... The weight has definitely slowed down (probably because she NEVER stops moving) so we even are back into the size 5 diapers that I'm still trying to use up from the boys.
Helen is such a ham. She is as social as can be, loves to dress up (big dress, big bow - in her words), and she loves everything girly. On the flip side, she also loves to roll in the mud, jump in puddles and play with dinosaurs. So, we will just call her well rounded.
Here are some pics from our home party:

Both boys loved celebrating with her. She kept sitting in their lap for the different songs and then Daniel paraded her around the room while we all sang Happy Birthday:

Birthday friends
Helen greeted each friend as they came to the door. She ran over, handed them a ball and was truly so excited to see everyone. She was such a hostess and we just couldn't believe how social she acted and how much she loved all the attention.
Helen absolutely loves the "big girls" and was happy to follow Georgia everywhere. Georgia is always happy to play "Mommy" to Helen too.
She fits right into the family and loves her white cake with white icing. Grinning ear to ear while we sang Happy Birthday:
Max and Helen! They love each other and I'm so happy she has a cousin close to her age. Pretty soon they will be chasing each other around the house!
Margaret from down the street - a year older but still going to be great friends as they keep the boys of Country Lane in their place:
Great celebrations for a wonderful little girl. She brings a smile to my face at least 3 million times a day. You were worth the wait, Helen!
