Farm Livin' is the Life for Me!

We took off for Bruceville, Texas this past weekend to spend some time with my grandparents and let the boys experience the farm. Despite some threatening weather (which never actually happened), we had a great time. It was really foggy/humid so my outdoor pictures were not that great - especially the first day.

You may recall from Thanksgiving, the kids were not so interested in the amazing swing set Gramps built. THANK GOODNESS they loved it this time. We spent most of our time swinging to be honest. Maybe we need one for our backyard?!



Next, Gramps put us on a hayride over to Tom's nearby farm where we visited some goats. The boys loved it and kept squealing "Doggies, Doggies ... woof!" We have been practicing animal noises but apparently we never learned goat. What does a goat say, anyway?

The gigantic bull decided to eat the hay off our hayride. A little too close to my babies, if you ask me! I showed Andrew this picture today and his response "Mooooooo." Phew, we are learning something!

Then it was off to GFC next door to run around the air conditioned gymnasium. Stephanie was quite impressive:

We found our brick at Greene Family Camp too. Here are A & D checking it out ... it says "For future Campers, Andrew and Daniel Bell. Love, Mom and Dad" I can not wait to send them to camp in just less than 6 years?!?

Andrew and Daniel made a huge mess at every meal. They have a new love for Cheetos. But, really, who doesn't?

My attempt at gorgeous portraits with the farm in the background were foiled by the following: 1) major humidity and foggy lens; 2) Andrew clearly trying to annoy Daniel by poking him and 3) Nobody was smiling. Here is what I got though - certainly not framers but they sure make great memories:

All in all it was a fabulous trip that I hope to repeat soon. We'll let Nonnie and Gramps rest up a bit before our next visit. The boys' personalities are really coming out and they interact so cute together.
