Bye, Bye Dee Dee

We did it! We finally got up the courage to say bye bye to our Dee Dees, seeing as we are Big Boy three year olds now! We made a VERY big deal about the process and it's probably our most successful accomplishment to date. It went off without a hitch (or a tear.)

We gathered up our Dee Dees for one last photo opportunity:

And of course, one last suck:

We cut off the green thing (luckily they love the little animals attached so they get to keep those):

And then we went into that backyard to dig a hole for Dee Dee:

Cover them up and pat them down:

Water them in:

We went back inside to change for dinner and did a little inspection on the way to the car with our flashlights. Little white sticks were growing nicely....

Hoping, hoping they will grow over night....

The next morning (after patiently waiting for the clock to turn green), we popped out of bed to check our garden and out popped our lollipops!! 

Super excited that our Dee Dees grew into lollipops overnight:

They really did awesome. I can't believe it. The 2nd night, Daniel was up for about 4 hours crying but kept saying his "knees" hurt. I honestly think it had nothing to do with the Dee Dee though. The Dr. thought it could be growing pains.

So, no more pacis for us! Phew! Now, if I could just potty train Daniel ...
