Hard to believe Chanukah has already come and gone this year! I hate when it is so early ...
We spent the first day decorating the house with a lot of blue and white. The boys loved making the paper chains and setting up the gel menorahs on the windows:
We made Nonnie's famous sugar cookies - Chanukah style. They are so time consuming but so yummy! The boys are excellent decorators but tend to eat more of the icing and sprinkles than they put on the cookies. Glad I could "blame" the decorating on them :)
We also spent a lot of time counting and sorting our dreidels. Somehow our dreidel collection grows every year. Here, they were making them all "shens" and saying "lots of Shens, Mommy!!"
We tried hard to focus on the celebration of lights, family, and togetherness and kept the gift giving to a minimum. Worked great this year and hope we can continue the tradition.
