Catching up with Andrew and Daniel.

Andrew - around 36 lbs
Daniel - around 32 lbs

Neither really love to eat ... anything. Every meal is a chore and if they could survive on macaroni, bagels, eggs, broccoli and strawberries, they would. The other day they said they didn't like macaroni and I almost cried. I was probably the pickiest eater, surviving on grilled cheese and clearly I turned out ok ... so hoping for the same.

Daniel counted to 122 the other day by himself. I was impressed. My favorite part was "40, 41, 42, 43, 44 .... 44 is my favorite number .... 45, 46, 47." He didn't skip a beat. Andrew can probably do it too ... we just haven't had an opportunity to try.

The boys are really starting to read. It catches me off guard sometimes when we are in a store or at the rodeo and they read a sign to me. I guess that's only going to get more common place around here. They love the Bob book series and we are working our way through the books every night. They love practicing their site words at the end of the books, which is so cute. Amazing to watch their little brains click. Both guys are really good with handwriting. We need to work on lower case letters, but they love making books with illustrations and then writing titles on each page. I've become an excellent dinosaur drawer in the process ....

Their favorite toys are matchbox cars, dinosaurs, airplanes, and leggos. They can entertain themselves with some variety of those toys for hours on end. They love playing together and typically get along really well.

They are obsessed with the movie Frozen. They can sing every word from "Let it Go" and Daniel has some impressive dance moves to go along with it. They have cars named Elsa, they draw castles with cars that make icicles etc. It's funny how they adapt the movie to work for a "boy world."

Andrew is very outgoing and a people pleaser. He is the first to try something new and really thrives on the experiences. Carnival rides, horses, the ocean ... sign him up! However, when he's pooped, he slumps over and stomps out of the room with a major pout on his face. It's his signature move. He loves his friends at school and can't wait to tell me who got in trouble that day when he gets in the car.

Daniel is still a little more reserved and definitely a momma's boy (always has been). He needs a lot of coaxing to try something new but as soon as he does it, he loves it and couldn't be more proud of himself. We continue to encourage him and hopefully he will be eager to try things on his own soon enough. Daniel has a memory like no other and has become a pretty impressive artist too.

They both finally get themselves dressed on their own and buckle into the carseats - phew!

We are loving this stage in life.
